Barry Hood

Barry received a A.S. degree in Forest Management from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. He has 40 years’ experience in corporate and private forest land management and timber procurement.

Barry has been a licensed Realtor for 15 years. This personal experience aids him in providing value to his seller and buyer clients, helping them make informed decisions on their land investments, all while using his knowledge of the timber industry and land management to assist clients with buying and selling properties.

Charlie Browder

Charlie grew up hunting, fishing, and working in his family’s timber business. At a young age he started learning the different aspects of the hardwood timber industry from the standing timber, to the mills, to the final product, and everything in between.

He attended Auburn University before enlisting in the Marine Corps. As an infantry Marine, the skills he learned as a child cruising timber and hunting were put to good use. After a 6 year enlistment Charlie decided to get back in the family business. He now is over timber procurement for Browder Veneer Works in Montgomery, AL, where he also oversees daily production of the mill.

He and his wife Leah have three children and live in Mathews, AL. Charlie’s extensive knowledge of the timber industry in Alabama would be a viable resource for anyone looking for a timber, recreational or commercial investment.

Ray Clifton

Ray earned a B.S. in Forest Management from Auburn University (1985) and an M.S. in Forestry at Louisiana State University (1989), where his research focused on hardwood silviculture and management. Ray’s 30+ year career in the timber industry includes a wide variety of experiences in land acquisition, forest management, and timber procurement. He has also worked extensively within the logging industry as Executive Director of the Alabama Loggers Council and as Director of Training for the Forest Workforce Training Institute.

Ray is a multi-million land sales agent and broker, specializing in timberland, farmland, and recreational properties. His focus is always centered around his clients’ unique goals in a land transaction, whether they be Sellers or Buyers. Ray’s experience, integrity, and commitment are just a few of the reasons you should give him a call to assist you in buying, selling, or managing your property.

Scott Fuller

Scott grew up hunting with his father and uncles in Five Points, Alabama, on land that was once the family farm. Understanding the importance of how a property can enhance the quality of life for families is what drives Scott’s passion for land sales.

Working with Big Oak Land Realty, Scott has the resources to help families buy and sell agricultural or recreational properties that will become a sustainable legacy for future generations.

Scott is a graduate of Covenant College, Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is an avid fly fisherman and wing shooter. Scott lives in Five Points, Alabama with his wife, a graduate of Auburn University, and a daughter.

Neal Pettus

Neal grew up in Montgomery County, AL and graduated from Lowndes Academy in 2003. He attended Troy University and received his degree in 2008.

In 2005, Neal opened a Land and Lawn Management business. Neal later married his wife Erin in 2010, and they have two children; Garrett and Hollon.

His goal from the beginning was to make a career out of being outdoors and helping people not only with managing their property, but also with understanding how to make their property valuable. He has pursued a life around the joy and satisfaction that he receives from helping people reach their goals of finding and sculpting land from dreams into reality.

Earl Ketchum

Earl Ketchum Jr. grew up in Barbour County, AL. As a child, Earl built a connection with timberland and natural resources. When he was growing up in Barbour County, Earl spent his summer breaks working in the woods painting landlines and marking timber.

After high school graduation, forestry and Auburn University seemed like a natural fit for Earl. Earl attended Auburn University School of Forestry on an Alabama Farmers Federation Scholarship and graduated with a BS in Forest Resources in 1997. After graduation from Auburn, Earl started his professional career as a land management forester with M. C. Dixon Lumber Company in Eufaula.

After a 3-year stint with M. C. Dixon, Earl started his own consulting forestry firm in his hometown of Clayton, Alabama. Since starting his firm in 1999, Earl has been assisting private landowners with comprehensive forestry services. In 2016, Earl became a licensed real estate agent. He enjoys incorporating his knowledge of timberland with timberland investors and timberland sellers.

Earl enjoys being a licensed real estate agent with Big Oak Land Realty simply because of the reputation of the “Big Oak Family” as well as the fact they specialize in land. He has a wealth of knowledge with respect to the timber and timberland market in East Alabama. Earl is also a Registered Forester in the State of Alabama. Married to Kelli Faught Ketchum, Earl lives in Opelika, Alabama. He and his wife have three sons, Riley 23, Grayden, 20, and Cannon 16.

Holt Blackwood

Holt Blackwood is from Gadsden, Alabama. He attended Auburn University and has a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Sciences. Holt has been a private lands manager in Arkansas specializing in waterfowl management along with maintaining agricultural and hunting operations on several high end properties since he graduated from Auburn in 2011.

Holt splits his time between Brinkley, Arkansas and Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he and his wife Lauren call home and raise their two boys.

Cameron Hunt

Cameron was raised in Lee County, Alabama, where he spent his formative years hunting and fishing on his family’s property. He earned his degree from Auburn University in 2012, after which he was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps. Cameron served as a Field Artillery Officer for five years before returning to Alabama.

Upon his return, Cameron transitioned into law enforcement and currently serves as a Deputy Sheriff in Lee County. In 2021, leveraging his military skills and training, he established a small business focused on assisting landowners with feral hog eradication.

Cameron and his wife, Kalyn, are parents to three children: Presley, Parker, and Barrett. Cameron’s deep passion for the outdoors has also driven him to pursue opportunities in land sales, where he continues to combine his expertise in land management with his love for nature.
